What does LAYAK + JAC stand for?
LAYAK + JAC is simply a combination of letters that make up the names of the founders' siblings.
What is LAYAK + JAC and how does it work?
We are a base for designers, jewelers, and artists that want to give back. The products on the site are either those that were created to give back (like Threads of Friendship) or collaborations with those that wish to give back through sales by LAYAK + JAC (Drug Money Art, for example, donates a percentage only when sold through LAYAK + JAC). The non-profit organizations are chosen by the designers/artists.
Do the Love for Peru bracelets fade?
Nope! Because our bracelets are made out of alpaca (cashmere), the colors don't fade. We've tested it in salt water, chlorine, and the sunniest of days!
Who are the Artists and Collaborators?
Our collaborators come from around the world and share similar goals: to spread fashion, spread art, and spread good will, all while promoting or creating to an aesthetic that we think you'll love. We came to some and some came to us, but together we make up LAYAK + JAC.
